About the trip

This trip will start at a small Muslim fishing community in Ranong, one of the most fascinating provinces in Thailand but with little interest from major tourists.

In this experience you will be outdoor most of the time — on a paradise island. You will expose to the sun, voyaging to beaches on paradise island,  fishing with local fisherman, and spending time on a beautiful beach with picnic of freshest seafood.

We will meet at a local pier early in the morning so you can use the most of the day. Then the voyage will begin. We will stop at some spots for fishing activity, then visit islands to find the best spot of the day for you to spend time.

What’s included

  • Transportation from/to Ranong town or a resort near the village
  • Squid fishing on a local fishing boat
  • Southern lunch with seafood freshly caught from the sea

Meet the villager

Please note that this is a private tour, so we can adjust things around to suit your needs.

This is a one day trip.

If time permits we will start at a local coffee place where villagers gather in the morning for coffee and breakfast. Then we will move to the pier, where the voyage will begin. We will stop at some spots for fishing (fishing will take place in the boat). When we have enough we will anchor at an island beach, where you will enjoy the sea and sand. Lunch will take place on the beach in a beach picnic style. You will spend the whole afternoon on that quiet beach and then we will return to the mainland.

Still want more beaches? You might want a trip in Phang-nga.

Important Notes

  • This experience normally starts early at the pier, usually no later than 8.00 am. This depends on the water level. If you travel from Ranong you have to get start early. We’d recommend you stay at a resort near the community (we will book for you) so you don’t have to wake up too early.
  • Please share with us what’s your next stop after the trip. We will make sure things will run smooth for you.
  • This experience is not available around mid-May to late early December due to monsoon season.
  • In case of unexpected bad weather, we will inform you in advance and discuss with you for other possibilities.
